We started making books in 1979, enthusiastic about the idea of ​​preparing knowledge from science and practice in the fields of construction, technology and the environment for everyday use and conveying it in an easily understandable manner, in an appealing book form.

Our topics from that time have remained – as a specialist publisher for ecological building and renewable energy sources, we still see ourselves as an intermediary between science and practice.

Over the years, advice has been added on creative work in the home and garden, as well as instructions and suggestions for self-sufficiency through natural gardening. With these topics, we make sure that the presented buildings and objects are not only functional and elegant, but can also be reproduced with the simplest possible (hand) tools.
