Building materials, techniques, clay architecture

This is the comprehensive textbook and reference work on the subject of “Building with clay”. The author shows the variety of possible uses and processing techniques of earth as a building material and explains the material-specific properties and physical characteristics in a well-founded and practical manner. The collected data and findings from research and practice are supplemented by descriptions and pictures of completed earthen houses and by the experience gained during the planning and realisation of numerous earthen buildings in Germany and abroad.

“The earth building handbook is a comprehensive compendium aimed in particular at those working in earth building.” (Monuments)
