Properly constructed, wooden facades are the most modern, cheapest and sustainable form of weather protection for a building.
This practical handbook shows not only the diverse design possibilities of modern timber façades on the basis of the applicable technical rules, but also presents, systematically prepared, numerous exemplary examples and detailed solutions for corners, base, roof and window connections. Planning and execution errors are also discussed, as well as the design and construction requirements for the dignified ageing of untreated wood.

The author’s 25 years of experience in the planning and construction of wooden facades and houses runs like a red thread through the entire book – critical and hopeful at the same time, rounded off by the most varied ex- amples of execution from Germany and neighbouring European countries.
