Basics, constructions and examples

Straw has been rediscovered in recent years as an inexpensive building material with very good heat-insulating properties. The authors describe the construction methods and the special constructional features that are important when dealing with straw as a building material, and they show concrete and practical constructions and implementation details that are suitable for building well-insulated and durable houses from bales of straw.

With tips on surface treatment of wall surfaces, special instructions for the construction process and descriptions of many examples already realised.
