Recipes for Every Occasion

The number one medicinal plant. The star among medicinal plants is the stinging nettle. Every part of it can be used: leaves, seeds, roots and stalks. Its healing power has been famous since ancient times, and all the great herbalists and healers through the centuries have praised it to the skies.

Nettles grow practically everywhere, the most faithful companion to people imaginable. Throughout the whole year, the different parts of the nettle can be used for delicacies in the kitchen or for folk remedies for health. Many little-known recipes were either invented by the author or unearthed from old herbals. Whether as a starter, main course or dessert, or as a helper for health and beauty, the nettle is always ready.

All the recipes have been cooked and tried many times over: for a whole year, one was published every week in a regional newspaper. The response was overwhelming and set off a real nettle boom.
