A Practical Guide for the Whole Family

Acne, joint problems, migraine, fatigue, stress, acidity, tension, cholesterol, diabetes… Gemmotherapy is an important natural aid for many ailments. Made from the buds of trees and shrubs, it can easily be used by the whole family. Buds are endowed with an exceptional power of regeneration that makes it possible to treat everyday complaints.

This book, which brings together fifty years of studies on gemmotherapy, from its pioneers in the 1960s to the most recent work, aims to support everyone who wants to make the most of this gift from the trees. You will learn how to use gemmotherapy alongside other natural therapies (aromatherapy, herbal medicine), how to choose your macerates by their properties, how to take courses to support your health, and how to make your own macerates thanks to advice on picking and preparation.

What are buds? What mysterious principle lies hidden in them? Why do buds count as superfoods? How do buds become propolis? The book answers these and many other questions and shows useful applications from the kitchen to the home pharmacy:

  • botany, history and customs
  • old and new recipes based on buds
  • portraits of native trees and shrubs
  • basic methods for making ointments, tinctures, essences, oils and more
  • bud delicacies: pestos, smoothies, green flours, elixirs and more
  • instructions for gathering and processing buds
