Harmony for Body and Mind

Positive Aging Yoga: active and healthy ageing for more joy of life, acceptance and mobility

Our life expectancy keeps rising. It is therefore becoming ever more important not only to accept the challenges of growing older, but to shape them with joy and vitality.

Positive Aging Yoga combines positive psychology with yoga practices developed specifically for seniors, so that you feel fit, healthy and happy as you age. The author Sabine Krieger rediscovered her passion for yoga at the age of 63 and, drawing on her training in Vinyasa yoga and yoga therapy, developed Positive Aging Yoga, a method to lastingly improve quality of life in later years.

With positive psychology and yoga towards a happy self-image and a healthy body in later life

  • The Positive Aging method: the book shows how the physical and mental changes of ageing can be accepted as a natural part of life. Positive psychology and yoga can help us grow older actively and healthily, for a long and fulfilled life.
  • Yoga for seniors: the yoga exercises and breathing techniques presented aim to ease joint pain and reduce pain in old age. They were developed specifically for older people, to promote mobility and mental clarity.
  • Practical integration into everyday life: the instructions are ideal for beginners over 50 who want to build a regular yoga routine to support their health and mobility. They include valuable tips for easily integrating yoga into daily life.
  • Self-acceptance and positive change: the author’s personal stories offer insight and motivation to let go of outdated self-images and lead a fulfilled life in later years, which strengthens self-acceptance.

Positive Aging Yoga supports a fulfilled and healthy life in later years. Targeted yoga and psychology techniques show how to make the most of every year of life, foster longevity and mobility, and improve quality of life. This book is the ideal companion for healthy, active and conscious ageing.
