Recognise them, use them correctly, do not confuse them.

The flora of the Alps is one of the most fascinating and has a great diversity of species, offering beautiful, brightly coloured flowers. Their beauty sometimes hides remarkable medical properties or, on the contrary, violent or even deadly poisons! For their survival in extreme conditions at very high altitudes, the plants develop substances to defend themselves against extreme cold, wind, drought and UV radiation, which man has been able to take advantage of. This guide therefore presents a selection of these medicinal plants and how to use them. It also describes toxic plants that can cause serious poisoning, with symptoms and emergency measures to be taken. An accessible scientific guide with historical anecdotes for all those who love the mountains and would like to use the enormous potential of its plants to improve their health and quality of life.
