More peace, more closeness, less stress: relaxation, breathing, and self-hypnosis techniques for parents and children. Includes 6 audio downloads

For parents who want more than just getting by

• Practical exercises and strategies for parents and children
• Proven self-hypnosis and relaxation techniques from HypnoBirthing: breathing, relaxation, affirmations, visualization

HypnoHelping is aimed at families with babies, toddlers, and school-age children who want to navigate the everyday madness of life with greater calm, connection, inner strength, and confidence.

Based on the proven methods of HypnoBirthing by Marie F. Mongan, HypnoHelping uses self-hypnosis techniques, such as conscious breathing, deep relaxation, visualization, and affirmations, to address the core needs and everyday challenges of families. This self-help guide shows you, step by step, how you can help both yourself and your children calm down, relax, and solve problems.

HypnoHelping thus strengthens the entire family and helps you deal more calmly, easily, and lovingly with all the challenges you are confronted with, from the postpartum period and infancy through early adolescence, such as sleep deprivation, sleep problems, tantrums, developmental leaps, school stress, test anxiety, worries, or inner restlessness.

The book makes self-hypnosis easy to use for parents and children in everyday life, with easy-to-follow exercises, inspiring illustrations, and informative fact boxes. It helps reduce stress, regulate unpleasant emotions, lovingly examine your own patterns, and grow closer together as a family.

For all parents who would like to have a mindful, relaxed relationship with themselves and their children.

Julia Maak

Julia Maak, born in 1979, is a mother of four, managing partner of the HypnoBirthing Gesellschaft Europa GmbH (HBGE), a lecturer for HBGE's HypnoBirthing certification training courses, and a HypnoBirthing course instructor for expectant parents. After studying international business administration she began her career in the medical devices industry, in international marketing and sales. Her first child was born in a passive, medically led hospital birth, but a report on Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge, brought her to HypnoBirthing, and her later births were natural, active and self-determined, one of them entirely free of pain. Accompanying expectant parents with HypnoBirthing, the self-hypnosis birth preparation method of Marie F. Mongan, became her vocation. After qualifying as a certified HypnoBirthing instructor she founded her own practice, the Pura Vida Family Club in Erlangen, and took over the management of the HBGE and its certification training courses. https://hypnobirthing.de/

Matthias Maak

Private Lecturer Matthias Maak, MD, born in 1977, worked at the Klinikum rechts der Isar in Munich, among other hospitals, after studying human medicine. He is a senior physician at the Department of Surgery at Erlangen University Hospital. A specialist in general surgery, he completed his habilitation and obtained the teaching qualification for surgery, followed by a specialisation in visceral surgery and an additional qualification in proctology. After a first difficult birth experience as a passive father, he attended three further births as the active HypnoBirthing partner of his wife Julia and saw at first hand how the method can help. As a volunteer scientific advisor to the HypnoBirthing Society Europe (HBGE), he draws on the HBGE's data on HypnoBirthing births to support his wife's aim of bringing HypnoBirthing closer to the world of conventional medicine. https://hypnobirthing.de/
