Julia Maak

Julia Maak, born in 1979, is a mother of four, managing partner of the HypnoBirthing Gesellschaft Europa GmbH (HBGE), a lecturer for HBGE’s HypnoBirthing certification training courses, and a HypnoBirthing course instructor for expectant parents. After studying international business administration she began her career in the medical devices industry, in international marketing and sales. Her first child was born in a passive, medically led hospital birth, but a report on Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge, brought her to HypnoBirthing, and her later births were natural, active and self-determined, one of them entirely free of pain. Accompanying expectant parents with HypnoBirthing, the self-hypnosis birth preparation method of Marie F. Mongan, became her vocation. After qualifying as a certified HypnoBirthing instructor she founded her own practice, the Pura Vida Family Club in Erlangen, and took over the management of the HBGE and its certification training courses.
