25 easy plants to pick, 30 sweet and savoury recipes

Turn your nature walks into wild, playful feasts!

What if your next family outing ended in the kitchen? Practical and beautifully illustrated, this book invites parents and children to rediscover the nature close to home through their taste buds.

From picking to plating, Carole Minker, doctor of pharmacy and a passionate botanist, guides you in identifying without error 25 edible wild plants that are easy to find (nettle, wild garlic, poppy, violet, elder…).

Once the harvest is in, it is time to create. The author has devised 30 original recipes, savoury and sweet, designed to appeal to children (and tested on her own!). Between violet spring rolls and rosehip tiramisu, your children will never look at “weeds” the same way again.

Carole Minker

During her pharmacy studies, Carole Minker focused on plants and natural remedies. She followed this up with a university research thesis, then 8 years as a pharmacist, during which time she trained in a wide range of disciplines and began training other healthcare professionals. She then spent 1 year with the Weleda laboratory as a trainer, before setting up her own business. She has already written several books on natural medicines.
