Resisters, Intellectuals, Artists and Heroines

In the relentless media noise surrounding the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, one voice has remained almost entirely unheard: that of Palestinian women. Tribute to Palestinian Women breaks that silence.

This landmark work by journalist and political scientist Thomas Guénolé and Palestinian activist and artist Saloua Daaloul places Palestinian women, witnesses, resisters, intellectuals, artists and heroines, at the very centre of the historical and political analysis of one of the world’s most enduring conflicts.

Far more than a collection of testimonies, this is a rigorous, deeply humane work that combines first-hand accounts from over twenty Palestinian women with comparative geopolitical analysis, drawing parallels with the Algerian War of Independence, South African apartheid, the Trail of Tears, and Pinochet’s Chile.
