A practical guide to osteopathy based on posture theory
This book is a treatise on osteopathy based on posture theory. In this symbiosis between two disciplines, posturology serves as a guide to navigate the labyrinth of pathology, and osteopathy is the instrument that allows the lesion(s) to be discovered through palpation and then treated. The treatments are entirely osteopathic, excluding substitutes such as prisms, insoles and others. Only osteopathy can cure posture disorders. The book recalls the contribution of posturology and its neurophysiological foundations, describing the different elements of the postural system and their interrelationships, as well as the mechanisms of balance and movement. It then shows how the osteopathic approach allows all the data from the clinical examination to be integrated to make a diagnosis and discover the primary lesion that is at the root of the pathological cascade from which most of our patients suffer, and whose treatment alone will cure them and not just relieve them. Posturological osteopathy, by integrating the functional posture disorders that affect most of our patients to one degree or another, has proven to be highly effective and achieves long-term results.
