The Art of Stone Painting – 30 Designs to Spark your Creativity

30 inspiring designs and step-by-step instructions…

Turning stones – found in nature – into colourful works of art is easy with this easy to follow step-by- step guide. The author, a well-known stone artist and experienced archaeologist, presents here step- by-step instructions for 30 inspiring designs. Using many pictures, she shows in detail how elegant mo- tifs can be created on stones, from flowers and animals to mandalas, geometric patterns and abstract shapes, all at different levels of difficulty for beginners and advanced hobby artists alike.

Beginning with basic painting techniques – including the selection of stones, tools and colours – the author introduces a number of techniques for painting stones in an interesting way and how to make the artwork last. The coloured stones are a decorative eye-catcher indoors as well as outdoors. Jewel- lery, such as pendants, can also be easily made from the small stone works of art. The large selection of templates not only offers many motifs, but also wants to inspire your own creative designs.
