A Historical Colouring Book

This original series offers a unique way to step into history: a narrative colouring book that follows an iconic figure or figures through the course of a single day, exploring daily rituals, emblematic places, and intimate details of their life. Each original illustration is paired with a short, engaging text that brings the period to life in a clear and accessible way.

This immersive and evocative concept reinvents the adult colouring book, combining a strong cultural dimension with a format that remains playful, visually appealing, and immediately accessible.

READERSHIP: General readers, colouring book enthusiasts, and history lovers.

Romane Faure

Romane Faure is a freelance concept artist and illustrator who works on film projects, pre-production for animated TV series and illustrations for video games. A graduate in digital production, she alternates between watercolour and graphics tablet to capture as many motifs as possible. The film productions she has contributed to have taken her around the world, from New Zealand to Canada and Cardiff. Whether for cinema, video games or a book, she likes to find the colour that best suits each story. She sees drawing as a way of creating connections: with her surroundings, between people, and with History itself. With the historian Thomas Marlier she illustrated the Dunod Graphic novel La Fayette (2026), and she is the author of the Les Belles Heures series of historical colouring books (Armand Colin, 2027). https://faureromane.myportfolio.com/
