Plea for Passionate Ethics

That far-reaching improvements in human-animal relations are needed, at least in the areas of farm animal husbandry and animal experimentation, is undisputed in ethics, political philosophy and animal studies. Mara-Daria Cojocaru’s concern is to understand, from the perspective of philosophical pragmatism, how ethical insights can be successfully put into practice. Special emphasis is placed on the role of positive and negative emotions in this process, as well as on how politics and science could promote real progress.
