This completed and updated second edition presents coercive control. The central concept of a comprehensive approach to domestic and intra-family violence as a human rights violation, it designates a repertoire of oppressive behaviours based on the privilege conferred by sex. It reveals domestic violence as a form of social violence, far from its common representation as a stormy form of marital or parental conflict.
