Learning to Live with Mania and Depression

For twenty years, this book has been helping people with bipolar disorders, their families and therapists to better understand the condition and to take a more relaxed approach to the ‘rollercoaster ride’ of life. The new edition of this ‘trialogical classic’ has been significantly expanded and updated: written in an empathetic and accessible style, it presents current therapeutic and care approaches as well as the latest research. A completely revised chapter on antidepressants and phase-preventive medication provides reassurance when dealing with medication. Focus is placed on the resources available to those affected, on self-help and support for recovery.
