What does it take to make a family? The young narrator of this story will hear many different ideas. Eventually he will understand that a family is made up of very few – sometimes small – things. This is a book to be read all together… to find out what these things are!

“A beautiful book, that with sensitivity and lightness, tackles the theme of the family, which is never just one, but multiple themes; a way to show children the beauty of diversity”. Michela Marzano, University Professor, Paris Descartes and SHS – Sorbonne Paris Cité

Mario Pennacchio

Mario Pennachio (Potenza, 1973) after a few years as a business manager regrets and abandons Excel spreadsheets to start working with words. With his wife Dina, he founded STEP Language Services, a language services agency with clients all over the world. In addition to boring contracts, incomprehensible financial documents and useless instruction manuals (which, it seems, nobody reads at all), he also translates many children's books from English. He loves to write nursery rhymes to be used for bedtime rituals.
