We present the revised and updated new edition of this highly regarded work on peyote culture.

Lophophora williamsii, the legendary peyote cactus, is not only known because of the myths surrounding it. Rather, the peyote fascinates and inspires in our latitudes mainly because of its extraordinary beauty. Previously more likely to be found in botanical gardens and exhibitions, the Lophophora is now established as a permanent fixture in many private cactus collections.

In line with this trend, questions about optimal care have also skyrocketed on Internet forums. Unfortunately, much of the information offered there is inadequate or even incorrect.

This care manual fills a gap in the technical literature on peyote cacti. With numerous practical tips on topics such as growing, sowing, repotting, planting containers, flowering, watering, fertilizer, grafting, pest control and a care calendar.

We present the updated new edition of the work on peyote culture, appreciated by professionals, in an expanded new edition and in the new format.

Alexander Neusius

Alexander Neusius, *1973, has been a well-known, passionate Lophophora breeder and expert for many years. He is a successful entrepreneur in the cactus trade and LED plant lamps. His passion for Lophophora began rather accidentally more than 15 years ago when a small peyote cactus was given to him as a gift. This set the beginning of an initially constantly growing Lophophora collection, and later the foundation of his entrepreneurial start-ups. Intensive study of the genus Lophophora, exact observations, documentation and constant publication on the internet have made him one of the most sought-after Lophophora experts in German-speaking countries over many years. Alexander Neusius lives in Schiffweiler, Saarland.
