The love story of a child and his beloved cat, Mingan, but also a story about loss and hope that our sorrows, in time, will ease.

Amélie Dubois

Amélie Dubois is an illustration artist who has made her way through animation and visual effects for film and television. She now devotes herself to her own universe through illustration. Originally from Montreal, she now lives in Mauricie and it is from her studio that she creates and goes out walking, always in the company of her dog Lulu. In the spring of 2017, she received an honourable mention from the Salon du livre de Trois-Rivières for her album La Peine de Sophie-Fourire.

Marie-Andrée Arsenault

Marie-Andrée Arsenault holds a master's degree in creative writing from the Université du Québec à Montréal. She has published short stories in the magazine Zinc (2009) and in two collectives published by Éditions de Ta Mère (2012, 2013). In 2014, she won first prize in the literary competition Appartenance(s) organized by the Canada Council for the Arts and Radio-Canada. In addition, her first children's book, Les souvenirs du sable (2014), was a finalist for the 2016 Tamarac Express Award. The characters in her little novels share the same passion: that of the Magdalen Islands, whose salt water flows in their veins.
