Practical guide for parents and children

If anxiety can take various forms and be expressed in many ways, it is always related to fear. Many children are in different degrees of alert, resulting in impact on their daily lives.

This guide is designed specifically to help them. It offers an illustrated therapeutic tale and its interpretation that highlights the causes, triggers and manifestations of anxiety.
This analysis also questions children and their parents about what they live, allowing them to understand the problem and to learn how to manage it in order to reduce its impact. By addressing directly on the family, this book encourages each member of the family to participate in the choice and implementation of appropriate means of intervention.

Based on recognized approaches and clinical experience of its author, Helping the anxious child is both a tool of prevention and intervention. Simple and accessible, it is also flexible. Young parents can use it alone or in collaboration with a mental health professional. This guide will also provide valuable tools for other stakeholders (including educators, teachers and speech therapists) involved with the child’s anxiety.
