Venture where time stands still. These places that have fallen into oblivion still resonate with a life that seems to awaken on each page. A seaside resort without any tourists, a palace overgrown with vegetation, a ghost factory, a deserted orphanage… Set off to discover an unusual heritage full of mystery and beauty.
This book reveals in exceptional photos, maps and ancient documents 80 abandoned sites, full of mystery and beauty, which tell the story of a bygone time. Some can be visited, others remain hidden or forbidden. These often little-known or hidden places bear witness to an unusual, sometimes dramatic history. Time seems to have stopped there. They were abandoned, forgotten by the rest of the world.
