Planting ground cover species reduces the need for weeding, keeps the soil loose and fresh and provides a home for active wildlife under the plant cover. Soil covers are an invaluable aid in the garden. This Antisèche presents 25 of them, chosen for the benefits they bring to the soil, but also for their aesthetic qualities, the possibilities of associating them with other plants, whether in beds, on lawns, at the foot of trees, their attraction for pollinators, etc.

Brigitte Lapouge-Déjean

Brigitte Lapouge-Déjean, gardener and author, and Serge Lapouge, landscape architect and photographer, created the Jardins de l’Albarède, in Dordogne (France), which received a prize as "Remarkable Gardens". They also received the Coup de coeur award from the Association of garden and horticultural journalists (AJJH).
