Your anger is an ally!

A plea for its existence and its proper use

Human beings are not made of marble: their sensitivity distinguishes them from robots. Contrary to what is said and written, feeling anger and expressing it does not necessarily come with the marks of powerlessness that are aggressiveness and violence. To preserve our emotional freedom, our authenticity and to foster all forms of personal and human development, we must learn to live well with our anger.

Feeling anger and expressing it responsibly is normal because it is often a first-rate ally. As Richard Bohringer says, “Anger gives life. When you’re no longer angry, you’re done.” (It’s beautiful, a city at night). Tolerance is not always a virtue: without limits, it becomes laxity or submission. There are necessary revolts, just fights that must be known how to lead, angers that bring progress.

While one must know what and/or whom to direct one’s anger against, it allows one to preserve one’s integrity, to be indignant and to revolt when it is right. And to find peace within oneself.
