Understanding what they are going through and helping them to develop their skills and potential

It is estimated that there are 100,000 autistic children in France. Whether diagnosed or not, and whatever the type of autism, the main challenge for parents is to understand their child’s behaviour and to support them as best they can to help them develop their skills, socialise and, if possible, follow an almost normal curriculum. Through the eyes of Assia, aged 2, Ruben, aged 6, and Djibril, aged 11, we discover the world as autistic children perceive it through their senses. Within each family, we follow the parents’ daily journey, from diagnosis to learning the steps: meals, time spent at school or on public transport, but also time spent at home with a carer, etc.
