Finding the Right Balance Through Self-Leadership

Empathy is a strength, even at work. But how can we reconnect with it in a healthy way? This question concerns both those who feel too much and end up “overflowing”, the hyper-empathic, and those who have cut themselves off from their bodies to meet the expectations of a rationalist, Cartesian society. When empathy begins with oneself and is combined with assertiveness and leadership, it helps us move out of survival mode, resolve conflicts, and build bridges between generations.

Discovering your “inner vertical leadership” helps you restore a healthy relationship with yourself and others by becoming a virtuoso of your inner world (thoughts, emotions, intuitions). It is a powerful lever for transformation.

The technique developed by the author involves releasing repressed emotions and challenging your “inner judge.” This book introduces a key distinction: wearing yourself out by betraying who you are or radiating by sharing your gifts. Weaving together stories, concepts, and practical tools, it guides you through three stages: freeing yourself from the past, standing tall in the present, and contributing with authenticity.

READERSHIP: Professionals who are questioning empathy: either because they feel they have too much of it and it becomes a handicap, especially at work, or because they find it hard to show empathy even though it is a sought after quality. This book is aimed at managers, HR professionals, executives, and entrepreneurs.
