I don’t want to be dead, because death sucks…

A touchingly sincere album, both in the child’s questions, which reflect his most concrete concerns about death, and in the parent’s posture, which, full of authenticity, invites him to accept his concern, to come back to the present and to let go of a subject that no one can control.

Anne-Gaëlle Balpe

Anne-Gaëlle Balpe has been passionate about writing since childhood, but it wasn't until 2011, when she was teaching kindergarten, that she published her first book, Bonhomme et le caillou bleu. After balancing teaching and writing for a few years, she decided to become a "full-time" author. Since then, she has happily devoted herself to her writing projects and to meeting her readers. She has published some forty books, from albums to teen and young adult novels, as well as illustrated novels, with various publishers. With Alice Jeunesse, she is the author of the series I am another, she participated in the collective novel On n'a vu rien venir, and published two albums, Gris and Une toute petite chose.
