Vic Mansfield
Vic Mansfield was Professor of Physics and Astronomy at Colgate University, where he taught from 1973, after a PhD in theoretical astrophysics at Cornell. His work explored the relation of science to the inner life, bringing modern physics into dialogue with Tibetan Buddhism and with Jungian psychology. He also wrote Synchronicity, Science, and Soul-Making and Head and Heart. He worked closely with the Dalai Lama, who contributed the foreword to Tibetan Buddhism and Modern Physics and visited Colgate in 2008.
