Sofija Borsch

The wimmelbook was drawn by the Ukrainian student and illustrator Sofija Borsch. Also having fled to Switzerland before the war, she works as a classroom assistant in the school of the collective accommodation. She has packaged her observations, experienced stories and wishes into the seven wimmel pictures of this book. In this way she shows a place not only of waiting and despair, but of connection, hope and moments in which life is celebrated. Based on personal experience, the wimmelbook offers points of departure for engaging with a reality of life that takes place very close to us and yet remains closed off to most.
