Kite Edizioni was founded as an independent illustrated book brand in 2006 from a project by Caterina Arcaro, who remained a member until 2019. A few years after its inception, in 2011, the publishing house, now well underway, also opened up to the French market, launching the Passepartout acronym. During those years, Valentina Mai took over the management of the group, imparting her own artistic direction to all the series and adding others to the original project.
The publishing house’s catalog currently includes more than two hundred Italian titles and forty French titles. Its commitment is to propose, through the books it publishes, a literary and aesthetic experience, selecting national and international authors and illustrators, from all over the world.
Every year he publishes around fifteen illustrated books and some of these are also published on the French market under the acronym Passepartout. Many of its titles have been purchased and translated abroad: in Brazil, Canada, China, Korea, France, Germany, Japan, Greece, Iran, Lithuania, the Netherlands, Romania, Russia, Spain, the United States, Taiwan, Turkey, and Hungary.
The publishing house has always interpreted the high-quality illustrated book as an opportunity and a tool for developing the emotional and cultural growth of readers of all ages, including adolescents and adults. His goal is to publish books that win this challenge.
