Ediciones Ekaré

Ediciones Ekaré is a publishing house that publishes books for children and young people. The word ekaré is taken from the language of the Pemón people of southeastern Venezuela. It means new or true narration and, in a broader context, simply story or tale.

Ediciones Ekaré was created in 1978 and its main objective, to produce quality books, is directly related to the experience in public and school libraries of the Banco del Libro, a Venezuelan institution internationally known for its work in promoting reading.

Today our books reach many countries, but the initial intention remains the same: to offer children and young people significant books from our culture and from different parts of the world.
