Phyllis Olins

Phyllis Olins is a conflict mediator with twenty years of experience in education, conflict counseling and intervention for Poway Unified School District in Southern California. In private practice for over a decade, she currently shares her unique approach to conflict resolution with individuals, faith communities, civic groups and businesses. Her book, How Not to be a Jerk or a Victim, offers myriad examples of personal, professional and existential empowerment through the unexpected reversal of conflicts small and large. Olins is the recipient of the Connecting for Success Award for community relations (San Diego County Office of Education) as well as an appointee to the California State School Attendance Review Board. With a practice of healing relationships in the diverse and challenging worlds of her clients, her work speaks to a multi-cultural audience. Her 8-Step Conflict Crunch process is grounded in justice, kindness, and humility, allowing its practitioners to reach beyond the superficial realm into a place of deep healing.
