Dave Stone

Dave Stone is based in the Galloway hills. Since 2003 he has run a small craft business carving stone, and in that time he has researched the historical and mythological subject matter from which he takes his inspiration: Celtic, Norse and Old European. He has a following of 49.9K on Instagram at @stonemadcrafts, where he promotes his stoneware and sells his creations on Etsy. For the past year he has been writing weekly articles on Substack. He has also self-published a book about Celtic Gods and Goddesses (2023) and Faeries of the Celtic Realms (April 2026). Drawing on northern traditions, his non-fiction explores key mythical concepts and traces their origins in the beliefs of our ancient ancestors, and his fiction is inspired by the same ideas.
