Carrie DeJong

Carrie DeJong, MC, RCC, is a Registered Clinical Counselor with the British Columbia Association of Clinical Counsellors and has more than 25 years of experience exploring how the body, brain, and emotions interact. DeJong has worked in trauma-treatment programs for children, youth, and families and in a residential addiction treatment center, and now maintains a private practice integrating Polyvagal Theory and other mind–body approaches. She serves on the board of Avalon Recovery Society, a non-profit supporting women in recovery, and teaches clinicians about the links between stress, trauma, and substance use.
