Simone Belko

Simone Belko sees herself as a generalist. She studied English, Modern German Literature and French in Hamburg and European Studies in Kaliningrad (Russia). In 2006, she was awarded the Willi Brandt Prize of the Socialist Group in the European Parliament for outstanding academic achievements. Already during and after her studies she worked as a journalist, PR manager and cultural mediator in Germany, France, England, Belgium and Russia. She then worked for several years as a product manager in the online games and FinTech industries in Hamburg. She writes blogs and essays about digitalization, media and social issues as well as prose and poetry and gives lectures.
