Marie Colot

Born in Belgium in 1981, Marie Colot spent her childhood inventing stories. A teacher by training, she published her first novel in 2012 En toutes lettres (Alice Jeunesse). Since then, she has been writing for teenagers: Dans de beaux draps, Jusqu’ici tout va bien, Souvenirs de ma nouvelle vie (Petite Fureur 2014 and the Libbylit Prize for Belgian youth novels); and for younger readers: the series Le jour des premières fois, Le dimanches où il fait beau (Petite Fureur 2016), with a constantly renewed pleasure. When she is not writing in her pretty notebooks, she is observing passers-by, doing yoga, collecting elephants and eating crème brûlée.
