Marie-Andrée Arsenault

Marie-Andrée Arsenault holds a master’s degree in creative writing from the Université du Québec à Montréal. She has published short stories in the magazine Zinc (2009) and in two collectives published by Éditions de Ta Mère (2012, 2013). In 2014, she won first prize in the literary competition Appartenance(s) organized by the Canada Council for the Arts and Radio-Canada. In addition, her first children’s book, Les souvenirs du sable (2014), was a finalist for the 2016 Tamarac Express Award. The characters in her little novels share the same passion: that of the Magdalen Islands, whose salt water flows in their veins.
