Jazarin Jean-Lucien

Jean-Lucien JAZARIN (1900-1982) is an exceptional individual. A man of social action, he was passionate about Zen Buddhism and Hinduism. He led hundreds of conferences on the Bhaga vad-Gita and Vedanta. He was above all a pioneer of Martial Arts: he discovered Judo at the age of 42 and became the 111th French black belt. Vice-President of the French Judo Federation, he spent 23 years as director of the National College of Black Belts of France. From 6th dan until his death, he was posthumously promoted to 7th dan. His books on Judo have been republished numerous times.
