Self-built ovens in house and garden

More and more people are discovering the pleasures of culinary delights in their original form. This can be helped by a traditional oven in which you can bake and cook – without electricity or gas.

This book shows in detail and with the help of many photos and drawings how to build an oven yourself, using clay, stones, wood and straw – materials that are available everywhere and do not cost much.

The individual steps in building the oven are described in detail, as well as the first heating and important accessories for baking in a convivial atmosphere, whether in the garden, on the covered terrace or in the house. Numerous photos show the variety of shapes of self-built ovens and provide inspiration for your own ideas. In addition: What do traditional ovens look like in other countries and what is prepared in them?
